How to Run for Office:

Candidate for offices are required to collect signatures of 10 percent of the elctors who voted for that office in the last election.  The Petition/Certificate of Nomination  and a Statement of Interests must be filed with the City Auditor at least 60 days and before 4:00 p.m. on the 60th day before the election. A Petition/Certificate of Nomination may not be circulated or signed more than 90 days previous to the date the petition must be filed with the appropriate filing officer in the city. NDCC ยง 40-21-07
